It's Been Too Long...

...since I've written a post up here, and I wanted to take a moment to apologize.

My daughter is part of a pilot Astrobiology Science program at Brunswick Junior High School and her class has been invited by NASA to watch a space shuttle launch.  So, parents of the students have been busy planning the trip, getting thr necessary approvals, and now we're into fundraising.

I don't typically use this forum for personal messages, but this really IS A once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids and we really need to get the word out about this trip as we ask the community for help in supporting us as we try to raise an additional $13,000+ in the next 10 weeks or so.  If you live in the Brunswick area, please consider dropping by one of our fundraiser events and/or donating if you can to help send the kids to watch Maine's Astronaut launch into space in June.

And even if you're not, feel free to stop by the web site I've put up for the kids and parents to keep an eye on how fundraising is going and some interesting information about the trip and space in general.  (Don't forget to tell all your friends...)

And now that my advertisement is over, I'm planning some additions and changes to the site coming soon, but in the interim, expect to see my posts ramp up again on this site as well.  There are a lot of things to talk about as we discuss Maine's History and our own family histories, and we have yet begun to scratch the surface!
